About Cohesion Foundation Trust

COHESION Foundation Trust was set up in 1996 by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals. The team equipped with the experience of different facets of development, started as a support body, providing professional services to other organizations.

Project Background:

Cohesion Foundation Trust with the support of Wipro Foundation, implementing project titled 'Promoting Quality Primary Education for the Children of migrant community' in 6, schools of Bhachau block of Kutch district. The objective of this project is to improve quality of teaching - learning processes in primary schools and extending this work in a structured manner to 6 villages of Bhachau Block at Kutch, Gujarat. The major activity under this project is to run 2 learning resource center (LRC) for 6 villages using activity based learning towards fundamental literacy and numeracy for grades 1-5. The other activity is to work closely with the 6 schools in developing teaching / learning practices, improved school functioning by carefully working with teachers, school leaders, school children of grades 1-5. The last activity is to work with community in a structured manner by regularly engaging with the SMC, parents, groups, panchayats to ensure optimal working with 6 schools.


JOB DESCRIPTION

The Position: Teaching Learning Facilitator (TLF)


Location : Bhachau (Kutch), Gujarat.


Under the supervision and coordination with Programme Manager, the Teaching Learning Facilitator will be responsible for the successful implementation of the project.


1. Roles and Responsibility of Teaching Learning Facilitator:


Capacity building of teachers using TLMs.

Learning and coaching with teachers during school hours.

Supporting government teacher in building effective curriculum development.

To make session plan very illustrative and easy to understand in consultation with government teachers.

Promoting teaching and learning through demonstration.

To support teacher in quality monitoring and evaluation process of the children.

To act as LRC Coordinator and take up following responsibilities :

• ગામમાં એલ.આર.સી રૂમ ની વ્યવસ્થા કરવી

• એલ.આર.સી માટે તમામ ટી.એલ.એમ અને સાધન સામગ્રી પૂરી પાડવી.

• એલ.આર.સી માં ગુણવતાયુક્ત શિક્ષણ મળી રહે 

• રોજ એલ.આર.સી માં ક્લાસ લેવો અને નવી પદ્ધતિ દ્વારા તેમને સમજ આપવી.

• સમયાંતરે ગામમાં એલ.આર.સી માં ગામના સરપચ,એસ,એમ,સી સભ્ય, એસ.એમ.ડી.સી સભ્ય,શાળાના આચાર્ય અને સ્ટાફ,બાળકોના વાલીઓની મુલાકાત કરાવી અને કામગીરી બતાવવી .

• એલ.આર.સી ને આધુનિક ટેકનોલોજી સાથે જોડાણ કરીને બેસ્ટ ગુણવતાયુક્ત સિક્ષણ અને અલગ અલગ પ્રવુતી અને રૂમનું વાતાવરણ શિક્ષણ અને મનોરજન મળે અને શીખવા મળે તેવું બનાવવું.

• સમયાંતરે સી.આર.સી મિટિંગ વખતે અજુ બાજુના શાળાના શિક્ષકોની મુલ્લાકાત કરવાવી.

• બેસ્ટ કામગીરી બાબત અલગ અલગ સાધન સામગ્રી જે વેસ્ટ માંથી બેસ્ટ નો વધારે ઉપયોગ કરવો.

• એલ.આર.સી એક એવું મોડલ ઉભું કરવું જેમાં આજુ-બાજુ ના ગામો,શાળા મુલાકાત કરવા આવે અને અલગ પ્રવુતી થી બાળકો શીખી સકે તેના માટે સ્કૂલ માં કલાસ લેવા તેવી કામગીરી કરવી.

• સારા કામગીરી ની કેસ સ્ટડી ઓળખવી અને બનાવવી


2. Required Qualification and Skills:

• MSW / PG Degree in Social science, management or relevant field.

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience of working in national or international NGO.

• Must have pedagogical skills to improve fundamental learning among the team.

• Able to capacitate team to work as co-educator with teacher and contribute quality learning aspects among children.

• Must have better understanding of education based TLMs development.

• Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail in the development of written documents.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure

• Good communications and presentation Skills-English & Hindi.

• Ability and willingness to travel as assigned

• Ability to build positive relationships in a cross cultural environment

• Computer Proficiency required.


Compensation Offered – 22000/- pm. (Including Travel)
